Vietnamese coffee is cheap because Vietnam is the second largest coffee exporter in the world after Brazil, and local production is very efficient. They mainly grow robusta, which is less finicky to care for and yields larger harvests than arabica. Additionally, low labor and logistics costs allow coffee to be offered at affordable prices.

For example, in supermarkets, ground coffee can be bought from 104,000 dong (about 318 rubles) for 500 g, which is significantly cheaper than in Russia. Even premium blends rarely exceed 200,000 dong for the same package.

At the same time, the quality remains high: Vietnamese coffee is pure, without impurities like husks or dust, which unscrupulous producers in other countries sometimes add. So you get a good product for reasonable money.
