How to withdraw money from ATMs in Vietnam and what are the fees?

You can only withdraw dong, and fees depend on the ATM and your bank. ATMs are everywhere in cities and tourist areas—look for them on Google Maps by searching for "ATM". When withdrawing, the ATM will show its fee (on average 2% or a minimum of 20,000 dong), but your bank's fee needs to be checked in the tariffs. The maximum amount per transaction is usually 2-3 million dong (about 150 dollars). Conversion occurs at the official rate, which is often unfavorable due to the difference with the real rate. Try to choose ATMs with lower fees and higher limits per transaction to reduce losses. For example, VRB ATMs for Mir cards do not charge a fee for two transactions per day, but your bank may deduct its own.
