There are only two international airports in Sri Lanka, but only one of them actually handles passenger international flights. Here is their list:
- Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo β the main international airport, IATA code: CMB. All regular international flights arrive here, including direct flights from Moscow and connecting flights.
- Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Hambantota, IATA code: HRI. Since 2018, it has not handled regular international flights, only charters, for example, from Red Wings since 2023.
There is also Ratmalana Airport in Colombo, but it is not international despite its name. The other airports are small local or military ones, not intended for passenger international flights.
