What classes of carriages are there on Sri Lanka trains?

Sri Lanka trains have classes from 3rd to 1st, as well as branded carriages. 3rd class is the cheapest, with hard seats and no seat numbers, often overcrowded. 2nd class is a bit cleaner, but can also be overcrowded.
2nd class with guaranteed seating provides a seat. 1st class observation and branded carriages, such as ViceRoy II, offer comfort and views, but are expensive. Night trains have 1st class with sleeping berths, but the carriages are old.
