There are many ways to save on air tickets, and we have already talked about all of them in articles How to buy a cheap air ticket and Ten Steps to buy a cheap air ticket. But there is a very little-known way how you can buy tickets cheaper, which, oddly enough, contradicts the generally accepted.

We are talking about purchasing separate tickets for each segment for a complex flight with transfers instead of buying a ready-made set of tickets at once. that is, we find the cheapest complex flight, but instead of buying a ready-made set of round-trip tickets with all transfers, we buy tickets for each flight separately. And lo and behold! The price becomes less!

It looks strange and contradicts traditional ways to save money when buying air tickets, but it works. You can save especially well if you buy a flight for a group of several people at once. Here is one example of such a purchase with screenshots as confirmation:

Why and how it works, we do not know, but what works is a fact. Of course, such a "trick" will not help on all flights, but for transfers in Moscow it works very often. Therefore, before buying a ready-made ticket, check the cost separately, perhaps this will be just your case.

By the way, we noticed that you can simultaneously find even cheaper tickets on one of the segments, which for some reason do not fall into the general search, and as a result, the benefit is even greater.
