What to do in Kuah in the evening?

In the evening in Kuah, there is practically nothing to do, as it is a business city, not a tourist one. After the end of the working day, life here comes to a standstill: the streets empty, most shops close, and there are very few cafes and bars where you could spend time. The city turns into a 'ghost town'.
If you are staying in Kuah, it's better to plan your evening in advance. There aren't many options:
- Take a walk along the illuminated promenade at Eagle Square.
- Go to one of the few restaurants or to the food court at Langkawi Parade shopping mall (check the opening hours).
- Return to the hotel and rest.
- Order a taxi (for example, via Grab) and go to the lively beach area of Cenang, where there are bars, restaurants, and nightlife. The trip will take about 30 minutes.
That's why we do not recommend choosing Kuah for a vacation if you plan to have active evenings. For all the details and our personal impressions of the city, see the article: Kuah Town on Langkawi.
