From the platform at the Seven Wells Waterfall (Telaga Tujuh), two interesting eco-trails lead deep into the jungles of Langkawi. This is a great opportunity to continue the adventure for nature lovers and trekkers.

  1. Blue Pool – easy route.
    • Distance and time: Only about a 10-minute walk from the wells.
    • What's there: A secluded, quiet pond with crystal clear bluish water, surrounded by jungle. There are far fewer people here than at the main wells, and you can swim peacefully.
    • Difficulty: The trail is not difficult, but it can be slippery after rain.
Blue pond a bit further along the trail
  2. Climbing Mount Machichang (Mat Cincang Peak, 701 m) – difficult route.
    • Distance and time: About 2.5 km one way. Allow 4-5 hours for the ascent and descent.
    • What's there: A fantastic panoramic view of the entire Langkawi archipelago, comparable to the views from the cable car, but earned through your own effort.
    • Difficulty: The route is serious. The trail is steep, with a significant elevation gain (about 600 m from the base), passes over roots and rocks, and there are almost no signs. Requires excellent physical fitness, trekking boots, water supply, and good navigation.

Both routes start from the upper platform of the waterfall. Don't forget that park entry is open until 18:00, and it gets dark quickly in the jungle. For the difficult trek, start early in the morning. We have compiled a detailed description of the ascent to Machichang Peak in a separate guide.
