Yes, it is the same attraction, but consisting of two parts. The Langkawi Cable Car is called SkyCab, and the famous suspension bridge it leads to is the SkyBridge. Both are located on Mount Machinchang and operate as a single complex.

The SkyCab cable car is the steepest cable car in the world with a 42-degree incline. It transports tourists from the lower station in Oriental Village to the intermediate and upper stations. From there, you can access the 125-meter-long SkyBridge suspension bridge, which hovers over a chasm at a height of about 700 meters, offering fantastic views of the Andaman Sea and the jungle.

Important: There are different types of tickets for the cable car. The most cost-effective and recommended option is the combined ticket, which includes both the cable car ride and a visit to the SkyBridge. The price difference with the basic ticket (without the bridge) is only 4 ringgit, but the experience is incomparable.

Practical tips for visiting:

  • Arrive early: It's best to come before 10 a.m. to avoid long queues.
  • How to get to the bridge: From the upper station of the cable car to the bridge itself, you can take a small funicular (SkyGlide), but there is often a queue there. An alternative is to walk along the scenic NatureWalk trail, which takes only 5–10 minutes.
  • Cost: The combined ticket for foreigners in 2026 costs 89 ringgit (about $19).

This is the most popular and spectacular attraction in Langkawi, definitely worth including in your itinerary. You can learn more in our reliable and honest guide in the article Langkawi Cable Car and SkyBridge.
