Entry to the Mu Ko Chang National Park on Ko Chang for foreigners costs 200 baht, for children — 100 baht. By paying this fee once, you can visit various park facilities on the island throughout the day.

What is included in the national park and what can you see there:

The park occupies a large part of the island and includes both land and sea areas. The main sites to visit:

  • Waterfalls:
    • Khlong Plu Waterfall (paid entry with park ticket) — the most popular, not far from tourist areas.
    • Than Mayom Waterfall (paid) — a series of waterfalls, easy to reach the first one.
    • Khlong Chao Lueam, Khlong Nonsi, Khlong Neung, Khiri Phet — these waterfalls can be visited for free, but they are located further away.
  • Hiking trails and trekking: For example, climbing Khao Salak Phet mountain (744 m) — a free but challenging full-day route.
  • Viewpoints: For example, Kai Bae Viewpoint is visited for free and is also formally located within the park area.
  • Mangrove forests: Several equipped walking paths (e.g., near Salak Kok Lake).

Important nuance: Payment usually occurs at checkpoints at the entrance to popular paid sites (most often at Than Mayom Waterfall). If you start your visit from a free location, theoretically you should go to the ticket office yourself and buy a ticket. In practice, control may not be strict, but these are the rules.

Note that during the dry season (approximately from November to April), waterfalls may dry up. It is most convenient to rent a motorbike for visiting. Ready-made guided tours can be purchased from street travel agencies.
