Visiting the observation deck on Pratamnak Hill in Pattaya is completely free. There are no tickets or inspectors – you simply go up and enjoy the panorama. The main viewing platform near the Prince Chumphon monument is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. However, there is a small 24-hour platform nearby near the parking lot – you can come there even early in the morning or late in the evening. The huge letters "PATTAYA CITY" are accessible at any time, and they are illuminated in the evening.
If you want to look at the city through a telescope, they usually ask for 10 baht. But souvenir photos on a plate or mug can be ordered for 200 baht. However, these are completely optional expenses – the main view, for which everyone comes here, is free. So feel free to plan a visit to the hill at any time of the day. Given that admission is free, it is easy to come here twice – in the morning for photos with clear colors and in the evening for sunset.
Details, a bit of history, and our personal recommendations on visiting times can be found in the article Pratamnak Hill in Pattaya: that very postcard view, free admission, and sunsets.
