In Nha Trang, as in other major cities in Vietnam, there is no single central bus station. There are several departure points, and this can be confusing. Here are the main ones:

  • Northern Bus Station (Bến Xe Khách Nha Trang Phía Bắc / Northern Bus Station): The main station for intercity routes to the north. Buses depart from here to Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Da Lat, Quy Nhon, and other cities. Located about 5 km west of the center. Address: 19 Tháng 10, Vĩnh Hải.
  • Southern Bus Station (Bến Xe Khách Nha Trang Phía Nam / Southern Bus Station): Buses from here go to the south: to Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet/Mui Ne, Phan Rang, etc. Located south of the center. Address: 164 đường 23 Tháng 10, Vĩnh Trường.
  • Carrier company offices: Many large companies (e.g., Futa Buslines) have their own offices and departure points in different parts of the city. Often, when purchasing a ticket from them, a free shuttle transfer from your hotel to their office or directly to the bus station is included. This is very convenient!

How not to get confused: When buying a ticket, be sure to clarify the exact departure address. Not just "Nha Trang bus station," but which one specifically. If you buy a ticket not at the bus station, ask if a free transfer to the departure point is provided—this will save you time and money on taxis.
