You can buy an eSim in Thailand with a Russian bank card on the website trip.com. This service accepts cards from Russian banks, including Mir cards, which is the main solution for payment issues for tourists from Russia in 2026.

The procedure is simple:

  1. Go to the eSim purchase page on trip.com.
  2. Select Thailand as the destination country.
  3. Specify the validity period (e.g., 7, 15, 30 days) and the required internet volume.
  4. Pay for the order with a Russian card.
  5. After payment, a QR code for activating the eSim will be sent to your email directly to your smartphone.

Important: Direct purchase of eSim on the websites of Thai operators (AIS, Dtac, TrueMove) is currently difficult for tourists from Russia, as Russian cards do not work there.

Alternative international services, such as Airalo or Yesim, also offer eSims for Thailand, but they may also not accept Russian bank cards.

Buying an eSim is convenient: no need to search for a store, change a physical SIM card, and you can activate the connection immediately upon arrival. However, if you are planning a long trip, compare prices: sometimes a local physical Prepaid card with a good tariff may be more cost-effective.
