In Thailand, there are three main operators: AIS, Dtac, and True Move H. For tourists, the difference between them is minimal—coverage is good for all in popular resorts and cities. Previously, Dtac was often praised, but now all operators perform about equally well.

You should choose not by name, but by a suitable tariff. If you're visiting for 7-14 days and don't want to figure things out, it's easier to buy a ready-made tourist SIM card (for example, at the airport or a 7/11 store). They are sold with a pre-set internet and minutes package and are easy to activate.

If you're planning a long trip or want to save money, it's better to buy a local Prepaid SIM card. They have a huge selection of tariffs for 1, 3, 7, 10, 30 days, etc., and often they are more cost-effective than tourist packages. However, setting them up may require some knowledge of English.

The most convenient way now is to buy a SIM card or eSIM online on trip.com and pay with a Russian card. You can choose the operator, validity period, and tariff, with prices starting from 60 rubles. The card can be picked up at the airport or ordered for delivery.
