In Ta Van village and its surroundings, you can engage in trekking, visit local museums, and enjoy leisurely relaxation. Although there might be too few activities for several days, for one or two days, there will be a program.

Main activities:

  • Hiking and walks in the surroundings: This is the main reason people come here. You can walk along trails among rice terraces, descend to the Muong Hoa River. In half an hour on foot, you can reach the neighboring village Lao Chai.
  • Classic trekking route: Walk through the bamboo forest to Cau May Waterfall β€” this is the final part of most two-day tours from Sapa.
  • Visiting museums: In the village, there is a private ethnographic museum at one of the homestays. Also, 1.5 km from the center, along the main road, there are a museum and a field of ancient stones with petroglyphs.
  • Relaxation and socializing: You can simply relax, enjoy the views, chat with other travelers at the local bar, try Vietnamese cuisine in cafes, or even go for a massage (there is a spa salon in the village).
The surroundings of Ta Van are ideal for walks
