When going hiking on Lang Biang Mountain, especially to Peak Ba, it is important to equip yourself properly so that the hike is comfortable and safe. Here is a list of essentials:

  • Comfortable footwear: Be sure to wear trekking sneakers or boots with good tread. The last meters of the ascent to Peak Ba are very steep and slippery; regular sneakers or sandals will not work.
  • Trekking poles: Not mandatory but highly recommended, especially for the descent. They relieve stress on the knees and help maintain balance on steep sections.
  • Water supply and snacks: There are no sales points on the route, especially at Peak Ba. Take enough water and light snacks (nuts, fruits, chocolate).
  • Sun and rain protection: Be sure to take a hat, sunscreen, and raincoat. The weather in the mountains is changeable.
  • Small backpack: So that all essentials are at hand and your hands remain free.
  • Cash: To pay for the entrance ticket (50,000 dong) and possibly parking (10,000 dong). Cards may not be accepted.
  • Wet wipes and a small first aid kit: May come in handy on the way.

Tip: If you are going to Peak Ba, start the hike early to have time to enjoy the views without rushing. And do not believe the sign about the trail closure at the entranceβ€”it is a trick; the route is open!
