How to get to Hue from Da Nang?

The easiest way to get from Da Nang to Hue is by bus or taxi. The distance is about 100 km, travel time is 2-3 hours depending on transport and traffic. This is the most popular route for tourists, as Da Nang is the largest international airport in central Vietnam.

Here are all the options for traveling from Da Nang to Hue:

• Tourist and scheduled buses/minivans: The most frequent and convenient option. Buses run many times a day. The easiest way is to come to Da Nang bus station and buy a ticket for the nearest departure. There are also direct tourist buses from Hoi An (via Da Nang).
• Taxi or transfer: The most comfortable and fastest way, especially for a group or family. You can order through apps like Grab or Xanh SM, or take a taxi at Da Nang airport. The trip will cost more than by bus.
• Train: There are railway stations in both Da Nang and Hue. The train goes along a scenic route, but you need to adjust to the schedule, and tickets are more expensive than bus tickets.
• Renting a motorbike or car: For independent travelers. The road (highway AH1) is in good condition but requires attention. Renting a motorbike in Da Nang starts from 120,000 dong per day.
