Which bus goes from Ho Chi Minh City center to the airport?

From Ho Chi Minh City center (the tourist area around Pham Ngu Lao Street) to Tan Son Nhat Airport, it is most convenient to take a city bus. There are two main routes:

• Bus No. 109 (Airport Express): This is the most convenient option for tourists. It departs from 23/9 Park (near the Pham Ngu Lao area) and goes directly to terminals T1 and T2 of the airport. The journey takes 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. The fare is 15,000 dong.
• Bus No. 152: An older and cheaper route. It runs from Ben Thanh Market to the airport. The fare is only 5,000 dong, but the buses may be more crowded and less comfortable.

If you arrived in Ho Chi Minh City from Mui Ne on the Futa bus, they will take you for free to the Pham Ngu Lao area, from where it is easy to catch bus No. 109. This makes the combination "Futa Bus + bus No. 109" one of the most economical ways to get to the airport.

An alternative is a taxi (Grab, Xanh Sm) for 100,000–200,000 dong, which is convenient if you have a lot of luggage or are in a hurry.
