Is it worth going to Cham Island from Hoi An?

Yes, definitely worth it, if you love beach holidays, snorkeling or diving. Cham Island is a place with crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and coral reefs, located 15 km from the shore.
What to do on Cham Island:
- Snorkeling and diving: The main reason for the trip. The water is clear, and the underwater world is rich in corals and colorful fish. Equipment is usually included in the tour.
- Beach relaxation: Beaches with fine white sand, such as Bai Chong or Bai Huong, are ideal for relaxation.
- Exploring local life: You can walk through the fishing village, visit a small free nature museum.
How to organize the trip:
- Tours: The easiest way. Tours from Hoi An or Da Nang (from 700,000 dong) include transfer, boat, lunch, snorkeling equipment and beach time. You can book at the hotel, a street agency or online.
- Independently: You need to get to Cua Dai pier, find a boat and negotiate the price. Cheaper, but more hassle.
Tip: The trip takes a full day. Bring water, sunscreen, a towel and a change of clothes. Infrastructure on the island is poorly developed.
