What are the hotel prices in Hanoi?

Accommodation prices in Hanoi are very low by Russian standards, but for Vietnam, it is one of the more expensive cities, as it is the capital. Here are approximate prices for 2025 (in Vietnamese dong):

• Hostel bunk bed: from 120,000 dong.
• Budget double room with air conditioning and bathroom in the tourist area: from 300,000 dong.
• Comfortable double room with air conditioning, bathroom, and breakfast: from 600,000 dong.
• Room in a five-star hotel in the center: from 2,000,000 dong.

Prices change little by season, but increase noticeably during the Vietnamese New Year Tet and Chinese New Year (late January to February). For these periods, book accommodation at least a month in advance.
