Yes, visiting the ruins of My Son (My Son Sanctuary) is definitely worth it. This is one of the most significant and extensive historical complexes in Vietnam, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We consider it a must-visit, especially if you are vacationing in Da Nang or Hoi An. In terms of cultural significance and atmosphere, My Son can be compared to Angkor Wat in Cambodia or Ayutthaya in Thailand.

The complex is a huge park with ruins of ancient Hindu temples of the Champa Kingdom, built between the 4th and 13th centuries. Many architectural elements, sculptures, and towers have been preserved here, and the atmosphere of the place is truly mesmerizing. It will take at least 2-3 hours to explore, not counting travel time. In addition to the ruins themselves, there is a museum with artifacts on site, which is free to visit, and several times a day a colorful traditional Cham show with dances and music takes place.
