Where to buy fruits in Ho Chi Minh City cheaply?

Fruits in Ho Chi Minh City are best bought at Thai Binh Market and on the streets around it. This is a local market in the center of the tourist area, where prices are significantly lower than in tourist spots. Do not buy fruits at the popular Ben Thanh Market - prices there are very inflated.
In Ho Chi Minh City, you can buy any exotic fruits found in Vietnam: rambutan, mango, pitahaya (dragon fruit), lychee, pineapples, salak (snake fruit), soursop, passion fruit, sapodilla. They are sold everywhere - at street markets, from mobile carts, and in supermarkets.
It's worth mentioning two problematic fruits separately: durian ("stinky fruit") can only be bought to try on the spot, as it is strictly forbidden to transport it on an airplane. Mangosteen is a very tasty and delicate fruit, but expensive, spoils quickly, and strongly attracts ants, so you might bring an entire anthill on the plane.
