Which coast of Phu Quoc is better to stay on - eastern or western?

Definitely choose the western coast of Phu Quoc for accommodation. On the eastern shore, there are practically no normal beaches, so all the main resort areas, hotels, and tourist infrastructure are concentrated precisely on the western coast of the island.

The western coast offers:

• Cleanest beaches with white sand and palm trees right by the water
• Developed tourist infrastructure - hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops
• Equipped beaches with sun loungers, umbrellas, and water activities
• Minimal impact of tides on swimming opportunities

The eastern coast has serious drawbacks:

• Practically no normal beaches for swimming
• During low tides, the water recedes hundreds of meters, making swimming impossible
• Poorly developed tourist infrastructure
• Wild beaches are often very dirty
