Which taxi apps work in Vung Tau?

In Vung Tau, the apps Grab and Xanh SM work, which are the main ones for ordering taxis. Grab is the most popular and offers not only car taxis and motorbike taxis, but also food delivery, shopping, and hotel bookings. Xanh SM is a local taxi with electric cars, which is a bit more expensive but eco-friendly.

Other apps, such as Maxim and InDrive, theoretically work, but car availability is not guaranteed—we were unable to call a taxi through them in Vung Tau. Uber does not function at all in Vietnam. To use Grab or Xanh SM, install the apps before your trip, register with a SIM card (preferably with access to WhatsApp), and make sure you have local internet.

Payment is made via card (not Russian) or cash. These apps are convenient because you see the price in advance and avoid disputes with drivers.
