For Russian citizens arriving in Thailand for tourism purposes for up to 60 days, a visa is not required. It is sufficient to fill out the electronic Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) form in English, receive a stamp in your passport at passport control, and you can stay in the country for up to 60 days.

To obtain the visa-free stamp, the following requirements apply:

  • Having return tickets or tickets to a third country within the visa-free period. They do not check everyone, but selectively, and may also check when boarding the flight in the departure country.
  • Having sufficient funds for the stay period. This is checked extremely rarely, but the consulate's recommendations mention an amount of 10,000 baht per person in any currency.

There are no requirements for mandatory insurance, hotel booking, or tourist vouchers. However, starting from May 1, 2025, all tourists must fill out the electronic arrival form Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) on the website https://tdac.immigration.go.th.

If you plan to stay longer than 60 days, the visa-free stay can be extended for another 30 days by applying to the immigration bureau in Thailand. The extension fee is 1900 baht.
