Delft Island is relatively small - 11 kilometers long and 6 kilometers wide, but for comfortable movement between attractions, it is better to use transport.

Transport options on Delft:

  • On foot - suitable only for short distances (from the pier to the hotel or to the beach)
  • Tuk-tuks - the main type of transport, can be found at the pier or ordered through the hotel. A trip from the pier to the hotel - 400 rupees, a half-day tour - from 5000 rupees
  • Bicycle rental - about 1500 rupees per day, can be rented at hotels
  • Motorbike rental - 3000-3500 rupees per day, but the quality of the equipment may be low
  • Tourist jeep - suitable for groups, cost from 8000 rupees

Exploring distant attractions on foot is not recommended - distances are significant (for example, to the Queen's Tower 9 km), and the heat and scorching sun make walking difficult.

Tuk-tuks meet every arriving ferry, so finding transport upon arrival will not be a problem. For independent exploration of the island, a bicycle or motorbike will give more freedom, but the quality of roads and equipment may leave something to be desired.
