How much does the Bangkok metro fare cost?

The cost of the Bangkok metro fare depends on the type of metro and the distance of the trip. In the above-ground BTS Skytrain the price ranges from 16 to 44 baht, in the underground MRT - from 16 to 42 baht.

How to buy tickets for the Bangkok metro:

• At the ticket counters at stations - simply name your destination station
• In two types of machines: TIM (coins only) and ITM (coins and banknotes)
• The cost is determined by zones, tables are available at each station
• Tickets must be kept until the end of the trip

Important features:

• BTS and MRT tickets are not yet integrated - when transferring, you need to buy a new ticket
