Yes, the Temple of the Golden Mount (Wat Saket) is definitely worth visiting, especially if you have already familiarized yourself with the main attractions of Bangkok, such as the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, and the Temple of the Dawn. It is one of the most interesting and famous temples in the city, attracting both tourists and locals.

The main feature of the temple is an artificial hill 76 meters high, on top of which is a gilded chedi (pagoda). Climbing to the top via more than 300 steps, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Bangkok's Rattanakosin Island district from a bird's-eye perspective. During the ascent, you will pass by bells that you can ringβ€”it is believed to bring luck and health.

The temple is also an important religious site for Thais, as it houses a relic of the Buddha's ashes brought from India. Although the ashes themselves cannot be seen, you can approach the golden sarcophagus where they are kept. Additionally, every November, a grand Buddhist festival takes place here with a large procession ascending the hill.

The temple grounds are extensive and include not only the hill with the pagoda but also other structures located below. If you are interested in the history and culture of Thailand, visiting Wat Saket will be a valuable experience.
