Acclimatization for a healthy person on Rinjani is not required, as the summit height (3726 meters) is not considered extreme for most people. However, the route is physically challenging due to large altitude changes (up to 2700 meters) and long treks, so it is important to be in good shape. Even young and prepared tourists sometimes cannot cope and give up on reaching the summit.

As for children and elderly people, there are no official age restrictions, but it is recommended to realistically assess physical capabilities. Children may find it difficult due to the long journey, steep descents, and night climbs. Elderly travelers should consult a doctor, especially if they have joint or heart problems. If in doubt, start with a simple tour to the crater, which is less challenging.

In any case, prepare in advance: train endurance, use trekking poles and knee pads, and choose tours with flexible schedules, such as 4-day ones, to reduce the load.
