All banknotes have different colors and sizes, and Ho Chi Minh is always depicted on the front side. The most common banknotes are from 10,000 to 500,000 dong, they are made of plastic and are not afraid of water.
Main banknotes in circulation:
- 500,000 dong - blue-turquoise, the largest
- 200,000 dong - red-orange
- 100,000 dong - green
- 50,000 dong - pink
- 20,000 dong - blue
- 10,000 dong - brown
Be careful!!! The 100,000 and 10,000 banknotes are similar in color, as are the 500,000 and 20,000. Always count your money when receiving it and store large bills separately from small ones.
