How to transport fruits to and from Sri Lanka?

Fruits can be transported in checked baggage or carry-on luggage in any packaging (bag, basket, suitcase), as long as it complies with the airline's weight and size regulations. Sri Lanka customs does not prohibit the export of fruits in reasonable quantities, but consider the rules of the destination country (for example, up to 5 kg can be imported into the Russian Federation). The 'Fruit Basket' service on charter flights does not cancel the right to transport fruits in other containers.
