From Bandaranaike Airport in Colombo (code CMB), you can get to the resorts in several ways, depending on your budget and preferences:

  • By taxi: The most convenient option. The cost starts from $18 to Negombo and up to $240 to distant places, for example, Yala National Park. You can order it in the arrivals hall, through Uber or the local app PickMe. We recommend bargaining or booking a transfer in advance with Russian-language support.
  • By tuk-tuk: Cheaper than a taxi (almost half the price), but suitable only for short trips, for example, to Negombo or Colombo. Bargain, as the initial price may be inflated.
  • By bus: Route No. 187 to Colombo costs from 100 rupees (about 26 rubles). During the day, frequent city buses run, at night - minibuses. From the bus station in Colombo, you can transfer to other routes to the resorts. There is also the Averiwatta bus station 2 km from the airport, from where buses depart to cities like Kandy or Negombo.
  • By train: From Katunayaka South railway station (2 km from the airport), you can get to Colombo or Negombo. Trains run 1-2 times a day, tickets from 50 rupees. Check the schedule on the website railways.gov.lk.

Public transport is poorly developed, so for comfort, it is better to choose a taxi or transfer.
