Citizens of CIS countries and all former USSR countries, except Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, must obtain a visa to visit Abkhazia. Obtaining a visa is extremely simple and is done in Abkhazia itself. For this, in advance, preferably no later than 7 days before the trip, you need to contact via email visa@mfaapsny.org or through the website with an application, receive permission by mail, and then travel calmly. Already in the country, you will need to contact the consular department at the address: Sukhum, Zvanba St., 9 (tel. 7 840 226 39 48), to process the visa within three days after crossing the border.
