How to fill out the ETA for Sri Lanka for a Belarusian?

1. Go to the eta.gov.lk website, the interface supports Russian.
2. Select the category Tourist ETA / tourist permit.
3. Fill in your passport details, personal information, planned entry dates, and the address of your first hotel in Sri Lanka. An air ticket is not needed at this stage — its availability is checked directly at passport control.
4. Submit the application. For citizens of Belarus, no payment will be required.
5. Wait for confirmation by email. Usually the response comes within one to two days, sometimes within a few minutes.

What else is important to know: your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry, and when going through control at the airport, you may be asked for a return ticket. Booking a hotel in advance is not necessary, but you must indicate your residential address in the application. The ETA is issued with double entry, meaning it allows one exit and re-entry, but the total period of continuous stay is 30 days. If you want to stay longer, you can extend your visa at the immigration office in Colombo for another 60 days, but that is a separate story.
