The best time to travel to Koh Larn from Pattaya is from November to February. During this time, the island has a dry and relatively cool season: daytime temperatures stay at a comfortable +25…+30 °C, humidity is low, and there is practically no rain. The sea remains calm and clear — it is precisely for this turquoise water that tourists come to Koh Larn. However, this is the peak season, so it is better to book hotels and ferry tickets in advance.

In general, you can vacation on Koh Larn all year round — the climate here is tropical, and the island is only 10 km from the coast of Pattaya, so the seasons completely coincide with the mainland. But each season has its own characteristics.

• High season (November — February). An ideal combination of temperature, humidity, and water clarity. Warm during the day, pleasantly fresh in the evening thanks to the sea breeze. This is the best time for both beach holidays and excursions around the island.
• Hot season (March — May). The temperature rises to +33…+35 °C, humidity is high. The sun is at its zenith, so plan walks for the morning or evening. However, there are fewer tourists, and accommodation prices are noticeably lower. In mid-April, the Songkran water festival takes place throughout Thailand — a great reason to cool off.
• Rainy season (June — October). Rain is most often short-lived — usually a heavy downpour in the afternoon, after which the sun comes out again. The rainiest months are September and October. During this time, the water near the shores can become murky due to waves and sediment, so the main advantage of Koh Larn — its clear sea — is temporarily lost. However, hotel prices are minimal, and the island is lush with greenery.
