Which beach is better: Jomtien or the central beach of Pattaya?

Jomtien Beach is definitely better than the central one – it is almost 6 kilometers long, significantly wider, the water is cleaner and there are fewer people. This is one of the best beaches in all of Pattaya. The reason for the clean water is that the current here is weaker and the shore is more open, so the water mixes better and does not stagnate.

Along the beach there is a promenade with benches, trash bins and shade from palm trees. Unlike the center, there are far fewer cars and hustle – you can calmly walk by the sea at any time of day. The cost of renting a sun lounger with an umbrella is from 100 to 200 baht per set for the whole day, you can bargain.

However, there are downsides: the water is not always transparent due to suspended sand and silt (but this is not pollution), and at low tide you have to walk far into the water. But the beach has toilets and showers (paid, from 5 baht). Overall, Jomtien is exactly the beach worth going to Pattaya for.
