If you don't want noise and crowds, head to the Jomtien area. There are two main party streets there: Jomtien Walking Street and Rompho Street. Rompho Street is an alternative bar center with a relaxed atmosphere. Almost every bar has billiards, which you can play for free when ordering drinks. The crowd is mostly older Europeans, but young tourists are also found. Prices are reasonable: beer from 80–100 baht, cocktail from 150 baht. Nearby is the Rompho indoor market and a night street market — you can combine a bar crawl with a snack. From central Pattaya, it's convenient to get there by songthaew along Thappraya Road.
