You can get to Khao Kheow Zoo from Pattaya in three ways: by taxi, by rented car or motorbike, or as part of an excursion. Public transport does not go here, so these are the only options.

The zoo is located in the city of Si Racha, about 45 minutes' drive from Pattaya. If you go by taxi, the one-way trip will cost 500–700 baht. It is most convenient to call a car through the Grab, Bolt, or Maxim apps. But there is a nuance: if you stay at the zoo until closing time, it will be very difficult to catch a car through the apps – drivers either do not accept requests or raise the price to 1000 baht. Private drivers are always on duty at the entrance, but they also charge more. Therefore, it is better to leave the park before 16:00–17:00.

Renting a car for the whole day will be cheaper than a taxi – even with gasoline you can fit into about 1000 baht, and at the same time visit other places along the way. If you rent a motorbike, it will be about 400 baht with fuel. But keep in mind: the road to the zoo is difficult, traffic is heavy, especially in the evening, so we advise beginners not to take risks. Read about all the nuances of rental in our guides: car rental in Thailand and motorbike rental.

If you arrive in your own transport, you will have to pay for entry to the zoo territory: car – 80 baht, motorcycle – 40 baht. This is convenient because there are free parking lots inside, and in your own car you can drive right up to the enclosures of the pink zone. By the way, there is parking in front of the ticket offices, but it is paid – the same 80 baht, so it is more profitable to drive into the territory.

If you do not want to think about transport, you can take a ready-made excursion from Pattaya – there are inexpensive tours from 900 baht that include transfer and tickets, and then you walk on your own. You can find such tours on Trip.com or at local agencies. A detailed comparison of all methods and our recommendations are in the article Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya: a complete guide for independent travelers.
