Several popular taxi-hailing apps operate in Pattaya: Grab, Bolt, Maxim, and InDrive. Uber does not work in Thailand, so don't even look for it. The most reliable and fastest is Grab — they have the most cars, and requests are accepted almost instantly. If you want to save money, try Bolt or Maxim — they usually offer lower prices, but be careful with Maxim taxi if you need to be strictly on time, as finding a driver can take up to 30 minutes. The InDrive app is convenient for long trips because you can suggest your own price and negotiate with the driver.

All these apps require internet access. It's best to buy a local SIM card or eSIM. Payment is made in cash at the end of the trip; you cannot link a Russian card. The price is fixed when you accept the order, and you pay exactly what you saw on the screen.
