How to get from Langkawi Airport to Kuah?

The easiest way to get from Langkawi Airport to the city of Kuah is by taxi, especially through the Grab app. The distance is about 16 kilometers, and the journey will take approximately 20–25 minutes.
- By Grab: This is the most economical option. The trip will cost around 30 Malaysian ringgit (MYR). You can order a car directly in the app after exiting the terminal.
- By official taxi: At the taxi counter in the airport, you can take a car (painted minivans), but this will be more expensive — from 45 ringgit.
If you arrive on the island not by plane but by ferry, you will arrive directly at Kuah Jetty port, which is located in the city itself. From the port, you can walk to many hotels, and to the others — take a taxi for 5–10 ringgit.
