After arriving by ferry to Langkawi, the easiest way to get to the popular Pantai Cenang beach is by taxi or through the Grab service. Here are the main options:
- Grab (local analogue of Uber): The most convenient and economical way. Download the app in advance. The ride from the main port Kuah Jetty to Cenang will cost about 20-25 Malaysian ringgit. You can call a car right at the exit from the terminal.
- Taxi with a fixed tariff: Taxi drivers are on duty at the terminal. The cost of the trip to Cenang is usually 30-35 ringgit. It's better to agree on the price before getting into the car.
- Car or scooter rental: If you plan to actively explore the island, you can rent transport right at the port. This will give you complete freedom of movement.
Note: There is practically no public transport (buses) on Langkawi. Telaga Harbour port is a bit closer to Cenang than Kuah Jetty, but the difference in taxi cost will be insignificant. In any case, the trip will take about 25-40 minutes.
