Buying a tourist SIM card at Langkawi Airport is very simple and profitable. Official communication salons are located right in the arrival hall, prices there are the same as in the city, without markups.

Available operators: Tune Talk and Hotlink.

Example tariff we used: Tune Talk SIM card for 30 days for 35 ringgit (about $7.4). The package includes a certain amount of internet, calls, and SMS. Hotlink has similar offers.

How to buy: After collecting your luggage, go to the arrival hall. Find counters with operator logos. The staff will help you choose a suitable tariff, activate the SIM card, and insert it into your phone. Payment by cash or card.

Why it's worth buying right at the airport:

  • You don't need to search for a store in the city after a tiring flight.
  • You'll have internet immediately for ordering a taxi via Grab, navigation, and communication.
  • Prices are fair, the same as everywhere on the island.

Before buying, clarify how much internet is included in the tariff and if it's enough for your entire stay. If necessary, the package can be topped up.
