Yes, you can. But 200 and 500 euro bills are accepted at a slightly lower rate. Yes, don't be surprised, it's exactly the opposite compared to the dollar, whose smaller bills are cheaper than larger ones.
But the difference in the rate for different euro bills is very small. We calculated the difference in one exchange office, and here's what we got:
- 100 euros and all less – 4.576
- 200 and 500 euros – 4.573
It turns out the difference is only 0.065%, or when exchanging 500 euros, you would conditionally lose 1.5 ringgit, which is practically nothing. So feel free to take either 200 or 500 euros. The difficulty will only be that when exchanging large bills, it will be hard to adjust your budget to your expenses, so you still can't do without a couple of hundreds or fifty-euro bills.
