Answer (changed )

Yes, citizens of Kazakhstan and Belarus can enter Abkhazia without a visa, but for different durations.

  • Citizens of Belarus: can stay in Abkhazia without a visa for up to 30 days.
  • Citizens of Kazakhstan: the visa-free period for them is up to 14 days.

For entry, both require only a foreign passport. Internal passports or ID cards are not suitable for crossing the border.

It is important to remember the general rules for all foreigners (except Russians):

  • Visa-free entry is possible only through the "Psou" checkpoint from the Russian side (or by ferry from Sochi). Entry through the border with Georgia ("Inguri" checkpoint) is not provided for visa-free purposes.
  • If you plan to visit Georgia in the future, note that entering Abkhazia through the "Psou" checkpoint is considered by Georgia as a violation of its law. This may cause problems when attempting to enter Georgia later.
  • For stays longer than the established visa-free period (14 or 30 days), citizens of Kazakhstan and Belarus must obtain a visa in advance.
