You can buy a tourist SIM card in Thailand in several places:

  1. At the airport upon arrival β€” this is the most convenient option. Operator counters (dtac, AIS, True) are located in the arrival areas. You immediately get working internet and can pay with cash baht or a bank card (Union Pay, Visa, Mastercard). Mir cards are not accepted.
  2. In 7/11 or FamilyMart stores β€” the network of these stores is widespread everywhere. Ready-made packages with SIM cards are sold there.
  3. From welcoming guides at the hotel or at tourist spots in resorts, but there may be a markup here.
  4. Online on the trip.com website β€” this is a modern and advantageous way. You can buy either a physical SIM card with delivery or pickup at the airport, or an eSIM, paying with a Russian bank card. Prices start from 60 rubles.

A SIM card in Thailand can now be purchased on trip.com and paid for with a Russian bank card online. There are both physical SIM cards with delivery or pickup at the airport/offices, and eSIMs.

After choosing the SIM card operator, you can specify the validity period, tariff, and amount of internet. Prices from 60 rubles!!!

Tip: if buying at the airport, try to choose a counter with a shorter queue, and decide on the operator and tariff in advance so as not to delay the group.
