Yes, Sharm el-Sheikh Airport has Duty-Free shops both upon departure and upon arrival, but they differ.

  • Duty-Free upon arrival is located in the baggage claim hall, after passport control. It is small and not open 24/7. If you don't manage to buy alcohol or cigarettes there, you have 48 hours to do so in special Duty-Free shops in Sharm el-Sheikh city, where prices are often even lower than at the airport. You will need your original passport for the purchase.
  • Duty-Free upon departure is situated in the "sterile zone" waiting area for boarding. It is larger and has a richer assortment: alcohol, cigarettes, perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, gold, and souvenirs. However, simple souvenirs (magnets, keychains) here will cost significantly more than in souvenir shops at the resort.

Prices in cafes and shops in the departure zone are very high. For example, a small bottle of water may cost $3, and a 0.33L can of cola β€” $5. If you want a snack, a relatively inexpensive option is Burger King on the upper floor.
