Where is the Ancient Rock Field in Sapa and how to get there?

The Sapa Ancient Rock Field is located about 10 km from the city center, in the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley, right by the TL152 road.

You can get to this location in several ways:

• By rented transport (motorbike or car). The most flexible option. The journey from the center of Sapa will take about 20-30 minutes. Coordinates and the exact location can be viewed on our Sapa map.
• By taxi. Convenient, but you need to agree with the driver about waiting or the return trip, as catching a car on the way back can be difficult.
• As part of trekking. Many hiking routes around Sapa pass through the Muong Hoa Valley, and guides include viewing the rocks in the program.

Near the museum, which serves as the starting point, there is free parking and a viewing platform. From there, a concrete staircase leads down to the rocks, turning into a trail.
