Cat Cat Village is open for visits from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This is when the ticket office operates and entrance tickets are sold. Theoretically, you can stay on the premises after 6:00 PM, but you can only purchase a ticket and get a route map during the specified hours.
If you plan to attend the traditional show included in the ticket price, consider its schedule:
- Morning sessions: 09:00, 10:00, 11:00
- Afternoon sessions: 14:00, 15:00, 16:00
The show takes place at the cultural center near the waterfall. To make it to the performance and leisurely explore all the attractions (waterfall, bridge, Hmong house, mills), plan your arrival with extra time. For a full walk through the village, allocate at least half a day.
The weather in Sapa is very changeable. Starting a walk under the sun and ending it in a downpour is common. Be sure to bring a raincoat and wear comfortable non-slip shoes, as the trails and steps can be wet and slippery.
