You can get to Starfish Beach in the north of Phu Quoc on your own by rented transport or taxi. This is one of the most remote places on the island.

Main ways:

  • By motorbike/scooter: The most popular and flexible option. From Long Beach, it's about 30 km (approximately 1 hour). Important: the last 8 km of the road were very bad (dirt road), but at the end of 2024, repairs began. You can ride a motorbike in any weather.
  • By taxi: Convenient but more expensive. A one-way trip from tourist areas will cost about 200,000 - 300,000 dong. It's better to order through Grab or Maxim apps for a fixed price.
  • By rented car: Suitable if the road has already been paved. In rainy weather, it was difficult to drive a passenger car on the old dirt road.
  • With a tour: Visiting the beach is often included in island sightseeing tours.

Important life hack: When arriving at the beach, you may be met by locals who persistently offer a paid boat ride (about 100,000 dong per person), claiming that otherwise you won't get to the starfish. This is not true! You can walk for free to the beach with starfish. Just walk along the shore.

The beach is open 24/7, entry is free. Renting a sunbed and umbrella on-site costs about 50,000 dong.
