In Vung Tau, tourists have several transport options: taxis via Grab and Xanh SM apps, renting motorbikes, bicycles, or cars, city buses, and walking. Taxis via apps are the most convenient way, as you immediately see the price and can choose between car taxis or motorbike taxis. Trips around the city cost from 30,000 to 80,000 dong, and motorbike taxis are twice as cheap.
If you prefer independence, renting a motorbike costs from 130,000 dong per day, but rentals are harder to find than in other Vietnamese resorts. For short distances, bicycles are suitable - from 50,000 dong per day or walking - the city is safe and has sidewalks, but consider the heat and distances.
City buses are a budget option (5,000 dong per ride), but the routes are not always clear, and there are almost none in the evening. Also, tourist golf carts circulate in the city, but their prices are negotiable, and they are more suitable for strolls.
