Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport has the code HAN according to the IATA system and the code VVNB according to the ICAO system. It is one of the largest and most important airports in Vietnam, serving both international and domestic flights.
The airport is located 45 kilometers from the center of Hanoi and is the main air gateway for tourists heading to the capital of Vietnam, as well as to popular resorts in the north of the country - Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba Island, the mountain town of Sapa, and the ancient capital of Hoa Lu.
The airport has two terminals: T2 for international flights and T1 for domestic flights. The terminals are in separate buildings about 1 km apart, with free shuttle buses running between them at intervals of approximately 20 minutes.
